‘Tokage’ (Matsuda) is a former detective who is now working as an investigator for a private detective bureau. One day he lost his partner because of a grave mistake, which caused him to retire from the police force. Now he doesn’t trust other people anymore and is unable to cooperate with anyone. He also is methodical to the point of being neurotic and cynical to the point of being unsociable, but he also holds a great sense of justice and detests crimes.
Tokage is making up for his weakness with his almost superhuman memory and his great physical ability. It’s only thanks to him that some of the most difficult cases were able to come to a closure. Therefore the police still asks for his particular skills for difficult undercover investigations.
Despite his lack of cooperativeness, he does have an assistant named ‘Mochizuki Kaori’ (Renbutsu). Kaori comes from a high-class family and posseses a strong sense of authority. She’s a tough one, but also a very warmhearted person. While working on many cases together, they gradually start to develop feelings for each other, which helps Tokage to break out from his shell.
One detective of the First Investigation Division is played by TOKIO’s Matsuoka Masahiro. He is a well-liked, warmhearted, smart and very mature man, which is basically the complete opposite of Tokage.

It is said that 60% of unmarried women between the ages of 25 ~ 35 find themselves becoming more masculine. The drama will feature “Oyaji Joshi” (lit. old-guy woman, a woman who acts like she is an old man ) who devotes herself to work.
‘Toyama Sakura’ (Shinohara) is a 39-year-old woman who has not had a boyfriend in 10 years. Though she works as a vice store manager at a beauty parlor named “HAPPY-GO-LUCKY” and is in very high demand by their clients due to her amazing skills, she is careless about her style.
She has a tender heart and a strong sense of justice, but she can be cowardly in terms of love. Recently, she is flustered by a couple of beard hairs that have started growing on her chin, which she thinks is due to overworking and a hormonal imbalance. Afraid of gradually transforming into a man herself, she decides to attend a certain party and there she meets the “carnivorous” pro BMX rider ‘Saeki Hiroto’ (Miura)
The other love interest of Sakura in this drama is ‘Tachiban Rintaro’ (Fujiki), the manager of “HAPPY-GO-LUCKY”. Though Rintaro looks cool at first sight, he has a wicked tongue and loves dirty jokes.
